WIPER BLADES · 5 min read
What Are the Different Types of Wiper Blades?
Compare conventional, beam, and hybrid blades before choosing a replacement for visibility in wet conditions.
Conventional blades
A conventional blade uses a metal frame with several pressure points holding the rubber against the glass. It is widely available and can work well when the size and connector match the vehicle.
Beam and hybrid blades
Beam blades use a curved, frameless structure designed to spread pressure along the blade. Hybrid blades combine a supporting frame with a shaped cover. The best choice still depends on the vehicle application and windscreen shape.
Fit comes before style
Confirm the driver and passenger sizes, connector type, and model-year application. A blade that looks suitable may attach differently or fail to sweep the correct area.

Vehicle symptoms can have several causes. If safety, steering, braking, visibility, warning lights, leaking fluids, or unusual behaviour concerns you, reduce driving and arrange a qualified inspection.
